Week 8 SBC – How I Will Continue to Post

I’m so sad it’s the last week of the Student Blogging Challenge! I really enjoyed these past weeks commenting, receiving comments, and posting. I will hopefully try to post every week or every few weeks on things I have been doing. I might try some new things like making stories, poems, and sharing some of my essays. Give me some ideas to write about and maybe I can think of something!

Week 7 SBC: Emojis!

I decided to create a story using byrdseed.com. I did this before, but this time I decided to make my story a little more detailed. Here are my emojis:

I was super excited to go to the zoo! Before I left my house, I checked the zoo’s website. There were going to be Pandas, camels, and even some snails! I decided to get there by taking a train. Getting inside the train, something lingered in the air. It was a bad smell. I couldn’t even describe how bad it smelt. I wasn’t super thrilled, but I sat down in a seat that was half torn. Could this get any worse? Getting to the zoo, there were ambulances everywhere. The zoo was closed because there was a biking accident. Somebody was biking and fell, but they shouldn’t have been biking in the first place. I was very upset I couldn’t go to the zoo anymore, so I went back on the smelly train. I got home, and felt relieved I was finally back. Next time I’m driving for sure!

SBC Week 6 – My School Day

Although my school is closed right now, I thought I would share my school day!

How I get to School: My mom drives me to school every morning and sometimes my dad can.

Before Lunch: I usually have 3-5 classes before lunch and they rotate every day. I have classes like History, English, and Spanish!

Lunch: I go find my friends and we have a designated table. I always bring my lunch because I’d rather have my own food.

After Lunch: I have a couple more classes left and then we go home. The classes last 42 minutes each.

After School: I go to practice running with my friend for an hour or so and then I go home.

After Running: When I get home, I do my homework and play with my sister. That is usually how my day went when school wasn’t closed.

Happy Earth Day!

Earth Day was yesterday, but I thought I would talk about Plastic Pollution. Not only does plastic affect animals, but is also the accumulation of microplastics is not safe. From the food chain, it can lead to cancers, disease, and it causes danger to immune systems. Like I said, it disrupts animals. It has killed nearly so many of the ocean’s wildlife which isn’t safe for them. By using less plastic, we could do a big favor for our Earth. Just by doing one thing, bring reusable bags to the grocery store, get a reusable water bottle! One small act can make a big difference. It may not seem like it, but using a reusable water bottle could save a creature’s life.

Stranded- SBC 3

I woke up to blood on my face. My head hurt and I could barely get up. I got up and I looked around; the plane crashed. I was flying back home from college to visit my family and now I couldn’t because of what is happening right now. I immediately start crying because no one else that was on the plane was alive. Except me.

Minutes later, I scream for help. I don’t know what to do, or what to think. “Help! Help!” a low voice screams.

I run over. The wing of the plane covers both of his legs. Maybe I wasn’t the only one alive after all. I go over to lift up the wing, and I help him up. “Are you okay? There’s blood on your face,” he says.

“Umm I can’t really feel it but I’m okay,” I reply.

“I’m Brandon by the way,” he says.

“I’m Calli.”

He goes over to the other side of the demolished plane. He runs over to the radio, but it’s completely destroyed. “Hey,” I say, “what’s that over there? There’s a house!”

“We must get there before dark. That’s the only way we’ll get out of here alive,” he says. I didn’t even admire the nature near me. There was a giant mountain, nothing like I have seen before. It was so pretty, and I wish I had my phone to take pictures.

Nearly an hour later, we arrive at the house. “Looks like we’re staying here until we get back home,” Brandon states. He had dark brown hair similar to mine, but he had green eyes.

“So where are you from?” I ask.

“Connecticut.”

“Oh, me too!” I say. He just shrugs. It soon turns dark and I sleep in the upstairs bed and he sleeps on the couch. It was a small house, so there wasn’t really any room.

It was probably 1:00 in the morning. I heard a banging. I sprinted downstairs and someone stood there. He was holding Brandon like his hands were handcuffed. “What are you doing?” I ask.

The man replies. “This is my house!” He yells. He takes us outside and he closes his door. What are we going to do now?

Finish the rest of the story in the comments! Be creative and be descriptive!

Week 1 SBC

Hi everyone! I updated my avatar, using a new website: Cartoonify! I really liked it, and there were so many options to create your avatar the way you want it. Anyway, I’m super excited to be blogging again, so I thought I would share some things about me since it’s week one of the SBC. I really enjoy reading, writing, and running. I probably have been running since I was in elementary school. Also, my favorite subject is english. (Don’t tell my other teachers!) What are some things about you?

Happy New Year!

I can’t believe it’s 2020! Do you have any resolutions? I really want to bump up my math grade, and push myself to receive an A. I also hope it snows sometime soon because I love the snow, and I haven’t gotten a real snow storm yet. Also, how were your holidays? What did you get for Christmas? I can’t believe all of the holidays have passed!

How I Will Keep Blogging!

This is the last week for the SBC! I really enjoyed the different topics, this was super easy to get a post up in no time! It was very straight forward, and I have learned so much. I will post every week or every other week, and my goal is to make more poems, and fictional stories. I really want to continue blogging, and will connect to other student blogs as well.
